Alex Chieng
Business Strategy & Operations
Alex has been a tech entrepreneur with experience in co-founding startups and building businesses for the last 7 years. Alex has had great success building consumer marketplaces and currently leads business strategy at Vetsie. As an animal lover himself, Alex co-founded Vetsie to ensure that vet care would become accessible to all pet parents, anywhere, anytime. With his Frenchie in mind, he is excited to modernize the way pet care is delivered.
Dr. Steve Boyer, DVM
Chief Veterinarian & Vet Strategy
Dr. Steve Boyer is a practicing small animal veterinarian and Co-Founder of Vetsie. He graduated from the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and has worked in both emergency and primary care. Steve focuses on the veterinary strategy and collaboration with veterinary professionals across Canada and beyond. He is motivated to ‘bridge the gap’ between pet care and veterinary accessibility.
Alyssa Borden, RVT
Veterinary Relations & Strategy
Alyssa is a registered veterinary technologist with a comprehensive background in both emergency and general practice. She was integral in the establishment and expansion of a local vet practice and is an advocate for career longevity & well-being within the industry. As a proud member of the Vetsie Founding Team, Alyssa will continue to drive change and help individuals embrace the future of virtual care in veterinary medicine.
